Last Color
Interesting how you can find a shot in the most unlikely places. This is a street I've been using a couple of times a week for years. And I've never noticed the great color before now. Could be that the concept of carrying a camera with you all the time has some validity after all. Then there is the possibility that for some reason the color is better this year, but that seems doubtful. Could be the bright overcast was providing the perfect bright and giant Softbox light at just the moment I passed by on my way to get some oatmeal. That would be the Planet's Perfect Alignment Theory. That will be my best guess, partly because the autumn color is gone from just about everywhere else.
However it happened, it was obviously the right time to capture an image. Park the car, jump out grab a shot with the Nex-6 + Zeiss 35/2 @f/5.0. Nice and crisp and easy as pie.
Good start to a day when you get something unexpected.
