More Fledgling Fun

This weekend is looking photolicious.  The weather report says we might get as many as three days without the continuous overcast that has plagued the southeast this summer.  Imagine that, sunlight for a significant part of the day.  Some day trips will definitely be on the schedule, but I haven't decided exactly where to go just yet.  The obvious locations like state parks are likely to be chock-a-block with hikers.  I'm sure many feel the same as I do, outdoor activities have been curtailed to some degree, so let's make haste while the sun shines.   On the other hand, the local cars shows might be very popular since the hot rod owners have not had the opportunity to get those roadsters out for a drive.

So bright light should be good for wildlife shots as well.  The bird and other small animal shots have been sparse, so there is the opportunity to catch up with that catalog.  The fledglings are now just in the final stages of their change to adults so I'll set aside at least one afternoon for that.

These are shots I got a few days ago during a brief break in the clouds.  Both taken from my little blind with the Sigma 70-200 + 1.4 teleconverter.  One good thing about this combination of gear and subject matter is that if you pay attention and get a good basic shot, there is not a lot of post processing to do.
That's always a bonus.
